Exclusives Arriving!

We are thrilled to start seeing bookstores receive their orders from Ingram! Orders are being sent on their way to stores now. Feel free to post unboxing videos and pictures of your displays using the hashtag #IndieBookstoreDay, so we can reshare on our social media platforms. However, exclusive items may not be ordered, pre-ordered, or added to a cart until April 27. 

Blackwing pencils and set(s) of 3 Greeting Cards from Be You! Picture Book by Peter H. Reynolds are being sent separately from the respective vendor/publisher.

When you receive your order, the label and invoice will have a PO Number with your Ingram Account (ie. Ingram Acct#_IBD2024). You can track your order by locating the “Find My Order” button at the top of ipage in your Ingram account and enter your Purchase Order Number or EAN/Product Code. For step-by-step instructions on tracking your order, locate “Ingram’s ipage Enhancements” feature in the Bulletin Board on your account dashboard.

Share your media mentions!

Is your store being mentioned in local news outlets for Indie Bookstore Day? Email the story to [email protected] to be added to the IndieBound Indie Bookstore Day Media Coverage webpage. There’s still time to send a Press Release to your local media! Download the template, enter your specific bookstore’s information (we provided examples!), and you’re ready to send it off.

We recommend checking out the Planning Guide regularly for upcoming to-do’s! Now is a good time to:

• Contact your Ingram rep to add any items from the 2023 and 2024 Exclusives Overstock Inventory to an order. 
• Promote Indie Bookstore Day with these assets, posters, and social media graphics.
• Join in on Spirit Week!
• Be on the lookout for Sell Thru Survey opening from Monday, April 29, to Friday, May 3.

IndieCommerce and IndieLite Sites

On Monday, March 11, IndieCommerce pushed the Indie Bookstore Day 2024 exclusives to all participating IndieCommerce and IndieLite sites. This update and the Independent Bookstore Day feature on IndieCommerce (IC 1.0) and IndieLite websites were covered in the webinar. (Recording and Help Document are now available.) For 2.0 stores, there is a Help Document for 2.0 available as well as a blog post.
