The Autumn Kids’ Indie Next List features booksellers’ top 10 children’s picks for the fall publishing season, 33 additional titles organized by age group, plus nine Revisit & Rediscover favorites.

For the seventh consecutive season, publishers are offering specials on 10 adult titles and 10 children’s titles chosen by panels of booksellers from across the U.S. as the top upcoming debuts.

Stephanie Tromly is the author of Trouble Is a Friend of Mine, a Summer/Fall 2015 Indies Introduce title for middle grade readers and a top Summer 2015 Kids’ Indie Next List pick. “This is what a YA book should be — smart, funny, and surprising. A terrific read!” said Margaret Neville of The King’s English.

Booksellers have selected 10 adult Debut Author and 10 children’s New Voices titles by the brightest new talents for the Summer/Fall 2014 Indies Introduce promotion. The sign-up page features bookseller reviews for each title and all promotion details.

Jon Scieszka Named National Ambassador for Young People's Literature

The Library of Congress has named Jon Scieszka (The Stinky Cheese Man and Other Fairly Stupid Tales, Viking) as the first National Ambassador for Young People's Literature. The appointment is for a two-year term. As National Ambassador, Scieszka will encourage the appreciation of young people's literature throughout the U.S. through both personal and media appearances.
