Banned Books Week takes place this year from September 27 to October 3, and booksellers planning celebrations can take advantage of an additional discount on a wide range of banned and challenged titles, as well as downloadable Banned Books Week-themed designs.

This year, Ingram Content Group is offering an added discount on more than 450 banned and challenged titles via ipage®, Ingram’s search and order content platform. The offer applies to initial orders of 30 or more books as well as subsequent orders placed between August 31 and October 5.

To help booksellers promote Banned Books Week, the DIY section of BookWeb’s Designs and Downloads features all-new graphics that can be used to create “I Read Banned Books” T-shirts, fREADom bookmarks, and “Defend your fREADom” posters and counter-card displays.

In addition, Banned Books Week display kits were sent via ABA’s August Red Box mailing to the most active IndieBound stores and to stores that received the kit last year.

Booksellers who have not received a display kit can order one by participating in the Ingram Banned Books Week promotion. To learn more about the promotion or to place an order, contact your Ingram sales representative, call Ingram Customer Care at (800) 937-8200, or e-mail [email protected].

ABA members that have not received a kit and do not plan to place an order with Ingram can request a kit by emailing [email protected]; however, supplies are limited.
