Friday, November 9, is the deadline for nominations of candidates to serve on the American Booksellers Association's Board of Directors. Any ABA member may submit nominations for board directors.

Board candidates must be an owner or employee of an ABA member bookstore with a storefront location that is operated according to sound business principles. Candidates must have at least three years of recent experience as the owner or employee of a member company, and it is desirable that nominees have at least two years of experience as an active volunteer in ABA or in a regional association or other constituency organization, or possess similar experience. Complete qualifications are outlined in the "ABA Nomination and Election Guidelines."

Nominations should be sent to the attention of the Chair of ABA's Nominating Committee, Beth Puffer of Bank Street Bookstore in New York City. A nomination form may be downloaded in PDF format and faxed to Puffer at (212) 316-7026. Nominations may also be sent via an electronic nomination form. Both are available on ABA's trade website, BookWeb.org.

The Nominating Committee requests that as much information as possible be provided about candidates; all information will be kept confidential.
