May 1 Deadline for Hotel ABA Reservations

The deadline for reservations at the special ABA member rate at the Grand Hyatt New York, this year’s Hotel ABA at BookExpo America, is May 1. Accommodations at the hotel, located at 42nd Street and Grand Central Station, are $275 plus tax per night (single or double occupancy). Booksellers who are looking to share accommodations at Hotel ABA should check out and consider posting to the Bookweb Bookseller-to-Bookseller forum’s BEA Room Sharing thread.

Hotel ABA will be the site of the American Booksellers for Free Expression’s Annual Children’s Book Art Auction and Reception on Tuesday, May 26, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Tickets, which are on sale now, are free for bookseller members of the ABC Group at ABA; $10 for other ABA member booksellers; $25 for students; and $105 for everyone else. Purchase tickets now.

Penguin Random House is inviting all ABA member booksellers to enjoy nightcaps at the hotel later that evening. The informal gathering will be held from 9:30 p.m. to midnight in the Grand Hyatt’s Manhattan Ballroom.

BEA 2015 runs from Wednesday, May 27, through Friday, May 29, at the Javits Convention Center.
