Next Friday, October 31, is the last day for ABA member booksellers who are new to the Indies Introduce Debut Authors and New Voices promotions to sign up to take advantage of special terms in support of 10 adult and 10 children’s debuts for Winter/Spring 2015. Featured titles include fiction and nonfiction, middle grade and YA, all chosen by panels of independent booksellers.

Stores that participated in past Indies Introduce promotions are automatically included in the Winter/Spring 2015 promotion and do not need to sign up.

Digital galleys of a number of the adult and children’s titles in the Winter/Spring 2015 Indies Introduce promotion are now available on NetGalley. Booksellers can sign in on the NetGalley site to read the books they will be handselling in the months to come.

Winter/Spring 2015 titles are also featured on Edelweiss.

“One of the most valuable functions of independent bookstores is discovering new authors, introducing them to their readers, and championing them to the world,” said Indies Introduce Adult panelist Lyn Roberts of Square Books in Oxford, Mississippi. “It only makes sense that booksellers come together to seek out and promote these authors. It benefits the bookstores, the authors, the publishers, and, most importantly, the readers.”

Sarah Chen of Mysterious Galaxy in Redondo Beach, California, who served on the Winter/Spring New Voices panel, said, “I can’t wait to recommend our selections to customers and staff, and it’s exciting to have a head start on choosing our monthly Fantastic First debut author picks for next year!”

Materials to help booksellers display and promote Indies Introduce titles are available in ABA’s Designs and Downloads.
