Today Show Book Club Announces Newest Pick

Author Alice Hoffman chose The Photograph by Penelope Lively (Viking) as the next title to be read by the Today Book Club. The announcement was made on NBC's Today Show on Tuesday, March 23.

Lively's book was a Top Ten July/August 2003 Book Sense 76 Pick. In nominating the title for the 76, Marian Fleischman of Sedalia Book & Toy in Sedalia, Missouri, said, "Kicked off by the discovery of an incriminating photograph, the characters in this book find a missing woman and themselves in a journey I won't soon forget. This intricate story reads like silk sliding across your hands."
