The American Booksellers Association (ABA) and Columbia University Libraries are happy to announce ABA’s donation of the association’s extensive organizational and bookseller archives to the university to be housed in Columbia University’s Rare Book & Manuscript Library (RBML).

Laura DeLaney is the co-owner of Rediscovered Books in Boise, Idaho. She’s also a passionate organizer for the freedom to read and has been instrumental in opposing the latest book ban bill in Idaho.

The preliminary injunction against the READER Act (formerly Texas HB 900) was reinstated on January 17, 2024 in the case of Book People v. Wong, with a decision written by Judge Don Willett of the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals. Significantly, the court agreed with all of the plaintiffs’ major arguments and upheld the district court’s decision.
