Booksellers can get inspired for next year’s Banned Books Week events by checking out a collection of more than 80 photos of bookstore displays from this year’s celebration, which was held September 27 – October 3.

The Banned Books Week 2015 photo album is viewable on the American Booksellers Association’s Facebook page.

Photos include festive window displays filled with banned books at stores such as Bookends on Main in Menomonie, Wisconsin; an in-store table display featuring banned titles, “Read Banned Books” tote bags, and plenty of “Caution” tape at Little Shop of Stories in Decatur, Georgia; a cage filled with banned and challenged books at Bookstore1Sarasota in Sarasota, Florida; and a full wall of banned books at Vroman’s Bookstore in Pasadena, California.

Booksellers whose photos are featured in the album are invited to tag their stores and share comments about their displays.

Many booksellers put to use the contents of this year’s Banned Books Week promotional kit — which included 25 feet of yellow “Caution” tape, stickers, bookmarks, and more — as well as digital downloads available on BookWeb. Following this year’s Banned Books Week, nearly all booksellers responding to a survey about the event said they were planning to participate again in 2016.

A link to the album and more information about the yearly event is also available on the Banned Books Week page on BookWeb.
