The Quill Awards: Vote Underway on Final Categories

Booksellers who have signed up to be a part of the inaugural Quill Awards Nominating Board can now vote on the final wave of categories.

Launched this year by Reed Business Information (RBI) and the NBC Universal Television Stations, The Quill Awards were established to honor excellence in book publishing and will include consumers in the voting process. Consumer voting will take place between August 15 and September 15.

On Tuesday, October 11, 2005, the winning authors will be announced and celebrated at The Quill Awards, a black-tie gala to be held at New York's Chelsea Piers. Then, on Saturday, October 22, the NBC Universal Stations will carry The Quill Awards as a special one-hour program.
