Children’s Choice Book Award Winners Announced

The winners of the 2014 Children’s and Teen Choice Book Awards were announced on Wednesday night at the seventh Children’s Book Week Gala in New York.

The winners, as chosen by children and teens in balloting across the country, are:

Book of the Year, Kindergarten to Second Grade

Book of the Year, Third to Fourth Grade

National Geographic Kids Myths Busted! by Emily Krieger, illustrated by Tom Nick Cocotos (National Geographic Children’s Books)

Book of the Year, Teens

Allegiant by Veronica Roth (Katherine Tegen/HarperCollins)

Illustrator of the Year

Grace Lee, Sofia the First: The Floating Palace  (Disney)

Author of the Year

Rush Limbaugh, Rush Revere and the Brave Pilgrims: Time-Travel Adventures With Exceptional Americans (Threshold Editions/S&S)
