We're a community bookstore in NYC with accessible, internationalist resources for political education, organizing, and movement building. 192 Books Opened on May 22nd, 2003, 192 Books offers books of lasting interest on a variety of subjects, including literary fiction, works in translation, art and photography, film, poetry, music, history, biography, natural history, science, and current affairs, and books for children and young adults. |
A Book Place A Book Place captures the interests of locals and visitors alike by offering specialized books, gifts and services. Located next to several community destinations; Jerry and the Mermaid restaurant (over 28 years in business), the Long Island Aquarium, a marina and new hotels like the Hyatt Place and The Preston House; A Book Place fits right in with its carefully curated titles, hand selected gifts, locally sources merchandise and friendly service. The shop offers titles for readers of fiction (women lit, contemporary, historical, thriller and mystery, psychological, crime, procedural, family saga), non-fiction (biography, memoir, history), local reads and customer driven material like gardening, cooking and travel.
