ABA, Candlewick Press, and General Motors are partnering for the “STEM Reads” (#STEMReads) book giveaway, through which booksellers can give away free copies of The Last Mapmaker by Christina Soontornvat to readers in underserved communities.

Sign up below to receive a free carton of the special paperback edition of The Last Mapmaker and to receive a $150 marketing stipend, courtesy of General Motors. Additional cartons can be purchased at cost for the giveaway.

Stores that participate in this giveaway will be invited to enter to win an in-person or virtual visit from Soontornvat; watch BTW for more information in the coming weeks.

The fine print:

  • Limit one free 24-copy carton per store location, while supplies last. Books must be given away as part of the campaign and cannot be sold.
  • Stores have the option to purchase additional 24-copy cartons of the title, also for giveaway, at cost and including free freight. ABA will invoice stores for extra cartons.
  • Order deadline: 5:00 pm ET on Tuesday, May 31.
  • Books will arrive in September.
