Nearly 300 member booksellers of the American Booksellers Association visited BookWeb.org to vote on four items proposed by the ABA Board of Directors.

“We are addressing our lack of diversity and representation on the board and have approved two bylaws changes to address this immediately,” writes Fiocco.

The July 2 virtual forum, a non-hosted event without an ABA facilitator or staff person, is intended to offer a meeting space for Black, Indigenous, and People of Color booksellers.

On Thursday, June 11, the American Booksellers Association convened online for its Annual Membership Meeting.

The American Booksellers Association’s Board of Directors has proposed changes to two sections of Article IV of the association’s Bylaws; votes are due by 11:59 p.m. PT on Thursday, June 18.

All booksellers can request a username and password to access members-only content, from educational materials to the Bookseller-to-Bookseller Forums and more.
