Stores will be receiving the 2004 - 2005 Reading Group Suggestions Book Sense 76 in the March White Box mailing, but the full list, with bookseller quotes, can be previewed online at news.bookweb.org/read/2313 now.

This is the second year that Book Sense has produced a Reading Group list, which was initiated at the suggestion of independent booksellers in the Book Sense program. Over the past year, ABA has received many requests for additional copies of the first list from booksellers, who said they found it a valuable marketing resource for book buyers in reading groups.

The latest list is replete with wonderful titles for book groups, and it extends the reach of Book Sense and independent booksellers’ selections into a store’s backlist.

All the 76 lists are the result of the knowledgeable and enthusiastic participation of hundreds and hundreds of booksellers -- but that is particularly the case with the Reading Group Suggestions list. The Book Sense team at ABA extends an especially earnest thanks to all the booksellers who shared the knowledge and passion for great writing.

Looking ahead, a couple of deadlines:

Summer Children's Book Sense 76 -- March 26
Audiobooks Top Ten -- April 2

Please send your nominations to Book Sense Editor-in-Chief Dan Cullen at [email protected], or use the Web form at www.bookweb.org/read/6305.
