Following weeks of speculation regarding a contract dispute between HarperCollins Publishers and Amazon, a HarperCollins spokesperson announced on Monday that the publisher had “reached an agreement with Amazon and our books will continue to be available on the Amazon print and digital platforms.”

The new multi-year agreement will allow HarperCollins to set the retail prices of its digital books, with incentives for the publisher to provide lower prices to consumers, according to a report in the Wall Street Journal. The agreement is expected to go into effect this week.

Prior to reaching a deal with HarperCollins, Amazon had reached agreements with Hachette Book Group (after a protracted contract dispute), Simon & Schuster, and Macmillan.
