Bookstores can request bookplates signed by Black Lives Matter founder and author Patrisse Cullors. 

Here is a preview of the 50 titles on the Winter 2020-2021 Kids’ Indie Next List flier, arriving at stores in the upcoming Kids’ Box mailing.

The event is free to all who would like to attend. Donations are being taken in support of Black Lives Matter Global Foundation.

Bookstores that do not utilize IndieCommerce or IndieLite for their store’s website may download the complete title list, ISBNs, and catalog graphics on BookWeb.

Bookstores that are interested in bringing the free virtual book club to local educators, students, and readers of all ages can sign up to receive bookplates signed by Cullors. 

The two-part consumer reading series will take place on Thursday, November 5, and Thursday, November 19, at 2:00 p.m. ET on Zoom.

Booksellers can share the link with customers and begin encouraging signups and book purchases now. During registration, attendees can opt to donate to the Black Lives Matter Global Network.

Bookstores can share the Eventbrite registration link and special marketing and educational materials in order to bring the book club to local educators, students, and readers of all ages.

For this series, authors Ibi Zoboi and Yusef Salaam will discuss their young adult novel, Punching the Air (Balzer + Bray), in hour-long talks moderated by Cliff Helm of Left Bank Books and Kathy Burnette of The Brain Lair bookstore.
