Kristin Hannah talks about her new book, The Nightingale, which booksellers chose as their top Indie Next List pick for February. The novel, set in Nazi-occupied France, follows two estranged sisters who reconnect during the war as each demonstrates bravery, sacrifice, and compassion in her own way.

Cecilia Ekbäck is the author of Wolf Winter, a Winter/Spring 2015 Indies Introduce Debut Authors selection. “Ekbäck’s intriguing tale of Sweden’s Lapland in 1717 gives insight into the land and people of the far north and is also hard to let go,” said Barbara Theroux of Fact & Fiction.

Emma Hooper is the author of Etta and Otto and Russell and James, a Winter/Spring 2015 Indies Introduce selection for adults that Cathy Langer of Tattered Cover Book Store called, “Wry and quirky, a little bit magical and perfectly pitched... A truly marvelous debut.”

Under a new partnership between ABA and the public television show Well Read, booksellers are invited to share short online author videos through their store websites, on social media, or in newsletters.
