Thanks to the support of Winter Institute 8’s Publisher Sponsors, this year’s author receptions will feature 67 new and established authors and illustrators, who will be there to chat with booksellers and to autograph their latest titles.

The Winter Institute’s signature Author Reception will be held on Sunday, February 24, from 6:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. in the Westin Kansas City at Crown Center’s Century Ballroom. The Closing Reception, on Monday, February 25, from 5:30 p.m. - 7:00 p.m., will feature authors from Wi8’s small and independent press sponsors, along with an extraordinary view of Kansas City from the Benton’s Room, high atop the hotel. Hors d’oeuvres and refreshments will be served at both events, and all Wi8 attendees are invited.

“The Winter Institute once again offers two great opportunities for booksellers to meet favorite authors and to discover outstanding new talent, whose works are bound to top their lists of handselling favorites” said ABA Development Officer Mark Nichols. “All Winter Institute participants are invited to these receptions, which have always been among the high points of past events.”

The Winter Institute is made possible by the overall support of the Ingram Content Group.
