In response to bookseller feedback, the American Booksellers Association has invested resources to update and improve the Book Buyer’s Handbook, a searchable catalog of key publisher contacts, ordering and returns information, and more.

As part of ABA’s ongoing effort to make this highly valued bookseller resource as up-to-date and accessible as possible, in June the Handbook launched on a robust new platform that will ensure its availability to members well into the future.

To access the Handbook, booksellers need to be signed in to BookWeb.org; no additional login is needed from there. The ABA Book Buyer’s Handbook can be found here, or under the Daily Tools heading at the bottom of BookWeb.

Booksellers can request their log-in information from the Member Relationship Manager for their region: Nathan Halter (for the NCIBA, SCIBA, MPIBA, PNBA, SIBA regions) at (800) 637-0037, ext. 7514, or Catherine Cusick (for NAIBA, NEIBA, GLIBA, MIBA) at (800) 637-0037, ext. 7566.

Publishers, wholesalers, and distributors listed in the Handbook can access and update their listings by signing in to BookWeb; e-mail [email protected] to receive a BookWeb login.

New vendors interested in being included in the Book Buyer’s Handbook are welcome to fill out a preliminary questionnaire.

ABA has added staff to expand outreach to publishers to ensure the Handbook has the most accurate data possible. All feedback, including technical support questions, should be directed to Book Data Assistant Alison Larkin at [email protected].
