The American Booksellers Association’s Governance Review Committee has created a survey regarding governance as part of the association’s periodic assessment process.

The committee — composed of bookseller members Kimberly Daniels Taws of The Country Bookshop in Southern Pines, North Carolina; Alyson Turner of Source Booksellers in Detroit, Michigan; and Annie Philbrick of Bank Square Books in Mystic, Connecticut, and Savoy Bookshop & Café in Westerly, Rhode Island — is seeking feedback from ABA member stores.

The four-question survey is available here. The committee is looking for responses from members who are willing to offer information and input for the Board as it works to meet members’ needs.

“Governance is an important element to any board run organization. The American Booksellers Association membership plays a vital role in our task as the Governance Committee,” said Philbrick. “Please take a few minutes to answer these survey questions. Read the questions carefully and thoroughly, and take a moment to think about your response. As a member, your input will help our committee complete the task of reviewing board governance immensely.”

The survey should be completed by no later than 11:59 p.m. ET on Wednesday, March 31. Questions about the survey can be sent to Project Consultant Catherine Raso.
