This week, Algonquin Books Blog loved its local bookstores. “You really can’t find better people than the owners and booksellers who work at them,” said the blog, which encouraged people to visit if they’re in the Triangle area of North Carolina, which encompasses Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill. The blog spotlighted Flyleaf Books in Chapel Hill, Quail Ridge Books & Music in Raleigh, The Regulator Bookshop in Durham, and McIntyre’s Books in Fearrington Village.

Savvy Sugar Interviews Christin Evans

Savvy Sugar interviewed Christin Evans, owner of The Booksmith in San Francisco. The article noted that Christin and her husband, Praveen Madan,bought the bookstore more than three years ago, and they haven’t missed their “previous corporate and business suit-filled lives.” Evans talked about her previous career as a management consultant and how she’s grown the bookstore by adding a variety of events.
