BookSense.com Downtime This Weekend for Planned Improvements

BookSense.com technical staff will be performing planned maintenance on the site this Sunday, October 9, from 6:00 p.m. to midnight Eastern Time. For at least part of this time, and possibly all of it, BookSense.com stores and their customers will be unable to access store websites. Administrative pages will also be inaccessible. A "We're down for Maintenance" page will be displayed to anyone attempting to reach a BookSense.com site during this time.

The maintenance is necessary to upgrade the BookSense.com database servers to provide more memory, which will increase performance and stability. This is the first step in plans to rebuild the BookSense.com search engine.

Sunday night is the only planned downtime during the upgrade, which won't be fully completed until later in the week.
