Artwork from a dozen children’s book illustrators will be raffled off later this month at the ABC Children’s Institute in Orlando, Florida.

Raffle offerings include works by illustrators Ryan T. Higgins, LeUyen Pham, and Michael Slack, among others. The artwork will be on display throughout Children’s Institute, which takes place June 21–23 at the Wyndham Orlando Resort International.

Raffle tickets will be sold at the Ask ABA Desk for $5 each or $10 for three, and the drawing will take place during the breakfast keynote on Thursday, June 23, at 7:45 a.m.

Proceeds from the raffle will support the work of the American Booksellers for Free Expression (ABFE) and its defense of free speech rights for kids, including the Kids’ Right to Read Project (co-sponsored by the National Coalition Against Censorship) and Banned Books Week, the only national celebration of the freedom to read.

Next week’s issue of BTW will share details about the artwork included in the raffle.

Registration for Children’s Institute is now closed. Registrants who are no longer planning to attend are asked to notify the American Booksellers Association as soon as possible.
