Daily Candy, an online resource for fashion, beauty, entertainment, food, and fun, has teamed with IndieBound to feature the full selection of bookseller-recommended titles from the Indie Next List each month. As part of its expanded book coverage, Daily Candy will also feature the quarterly Kids’ Indie Next List.
Currently on Daily Candy’s homepage, the banner “February is one for the books” links to The Best Books of February 2014: This month’s top reads, as told by booksellers from coast to coast.” The list is also accessible from the “Entertainment” link in the site’s top menu bar.
Displayed as a slideshow, the covers of all 20 Indie Next Great Reads from the February flier are prominently presented alongside a bookseller recommendation. Following the bookseller quote is a link to purchase the book through IndieBound, followed by Amazon.com. Other links allow readers to share the list or to link to specific titles via social media.
Daily Candy, which reaches a national audience through its website, targeted e-mails, location-based mobile content, and social media outlets, bills itself as “the ultimate insider’s guide to what’s hot, new, and undiscovered.” The website currently has 1.4 million unique visitors per month.
