Deadline to Join Quills Nominating Board Extended

The Quills Literary Foundation has extended its invitation to all booksellers with Book Sense to be part of the inaugural Quill Awards Nominating Board. Launched this year by Reed Business Information (RBI) and the NBC Universal Television Stations, The Quill Awards will honor excellence in book publishing and will include consumers in the voting process.

Booksellers with Book Sense can join in creating the short list of books to be presented to consumers for voting. The first Quill Awards will be presented in October 2005, during a red-carpet ceremony to be carried on the 14 NBC Universal Owned and Operated Television Stations.

To join in the nomination process, which is currently underway, booksellers should send an e-mail with their name, store name, and address to [email protected]. Booksellers will also be able to sign up to vote at BookExpo America, in the ABA/Book Sense Lounge, Room 1E 07-08.

The Quills Literary Foundation is the sponsor of this year's Book Sense Author Luncheon at BEA.
