Hardcover History Returns

Hardcover History, the partnership of Book Sense and The History Channel promoting programming and reading combinations, is returning after a short hiatus. Materials promoting Simon & Schuster's The Salem Witch Trials: An Unsolved Mystery by Jane Yolen and Heidi Elizabet Stemple Yolen, illustrated by Roger Roth, and the companion show, Witch Hunt, airing on The History Channel on Sunday, October 31, at 8:00 p.m./7:00 c., are being sent to booksellers in the September Red Box.

Especially appropriate for the night of Halloween, Witch Hunt will bring 17-century superstitions to life through vivid accounts of the Salem witch trials as they are described in actual diaries and letters from the time. Promotional materials -- bookmarks and mini posters -- will arrive in the Red Box in early September.
