Hotel ABA - Washington, D.C., Named for BEA 2006

In response to previous years' success and booksellers' requests, the American Booksellers Association, working with BookExpo America, has secured an exclusive hotel for ABA member booksellers planning to attend BEA 2006. The Doubletree Crystal City in Arlington, Virginia -- just minutes from downtown Washington, D.C., and the Washington Convention Center -- will be the official Hotel ABA - Washington, D.C., for next year's trade show, which will be held from Wednesday, May 17, through Sunday, May 21.

ABA member booksellers will soon be able to book rooms for BEA 2006 at the special room rate of $129 per night. Other amenities at Hotel ABA - Washington, D.C., will include:

  • Complimentary coffee and pastries each morning
  • A series of publisher-sponsored receptions each evening
  • An exclusive ABA member hospitality suite, providing a convenient meeting place for booksellers
  • A special ABA concierge table in the hotel lobby, where booksellers can pick up BEA badge-holders, copies of the BEA exhibitors' guide, updated information about convention events, and a welcome package with special surprises from ABA and publishers
  • A special dedicated shuttle bus service between the hotel and convention center
  • ARCs for booksellers each night
