On Thursday, March 28, from 11 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. EST, the American Booksellers Association will present a Marketing Meetup that will focus on blog marketing.
All booksellers are invited to participate in these bookseller-led educational conversations, which are conducted through Zoom.us and held at 11:00 a.m. EST on two Thursdays a month. Booksellers who would like to participate should e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org for an invitation and instructions.
Blog marketing is a marketing tactic used by businesses to reach their target market through the use of blogging that provides additional online visibility, similar to other marketing channels such as social media, email marketing, direct mail, and more. Whether using a blog within their website or a specific blogging platform such as WordPress or Tumblr, booksellers can utilize this marketing method to support their business growth.
The guest speakers for the March 28 Marketing Meetup will include Abby Fennewald of BookPeople in Austin, Texas; Colin McDonald of The Seminary Co-op/57th Street Books in Chicago, Illinois; and Miriam Landis of Island Books in Mercer Island, Washington, with information also to be provided from Blue Willow Bookshop in Houston, Texas.
