As the all-important holiday gift-giving season approaches (Thanksgiving is just six weeks away), Book Sense reminds booksellers participating in the gift card program to stock up on cards and presenters to ensure they can meet the growing demand: Last year, sales of Book Sense gift cards in November and December totaled over $3 million, an increase of more than 38 percent over the same period in 2004.
To receive stock in time for Thanksgiving, orders for imprinted cards and/or presenters (logo already on file) must be placed by noon EST on Monday, November 6; for generic cards, by noon EST on Monday, November 13.
To receive imprinted cards and/or presenters by December 11, orders must be received by noon EST on Monday, November 20, and generic cards must be ordered by noon EST on Monday, November 27.
Rush orders for delivery before December 25 will be accepted until noon EST on Friday, December 15. However, there will be additional charges for rush orders, and two to three days delivery time is required.
All reorders for generic and imprinted Book Sense gift cards and presenters should be placed via your Givex account.
