ABA publisher partners and BookExpo exhibitors can still register for the session on the financial state of independent bookstores, which will now be held on March 22.

BookExpo has announced the 16 titles to be featured at this year’s adult, YA, and middle grade Editors’ Buzz panels.

The March 13 education session in New York City, aimed at ABA publisher partners and BookExpo exhibitors, will detail the financial state of independent bookstores.

This year, booksellers attending the sixth ABC Children’s Institute (June 19–21 in New Orleans) will have the opportunity to participate in a chalkboard lettering workshop or a literary walking tour.

Here are some tips to help spread the word about Independent Bookstore Day, which will be celebrated by more than 500 independent bookstores on April 28.

BookExpo 2018 will kick off on Wednesday, May 30, with a full day of events, including Meet the Editors, Publicists Speed Dating, the Celebration of Bookselling Lunch, and the Silent Art Auction.

The Independent Bookstore Day Marketing-in-a-Mailer contains signage, stickers, teasers, shelf-talkers, and balloons to help bookstores promote the event. The kit costs $20 and orders are due March 15.

The May 31 event will feature authors Trevor Noah, Barbara Kingsolver, Nicholas Sparks, and Jill Lepore, as well as hosts Megan Mullally and Nick Offerman.

The American Booksellers Association’s sixth ABC Children’s Institute will be held June 19–21 at the Sheraton New Orleans in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Booksellers can register now for BookExpo 2018, which will be held at New York’s Javits Convention Center from Wednesday, May 30, through Friday, June 1.
