Getting Some Deserving Books Back Into Print

In a nutshell, I'd like to gather a list from booksellers of favorite books that have been out of print for a while and deserve a new life, AS WELL AS a list of recently published hardcovers that aren't going into paperback.

I think many publishers will be interested in exploring this list, but please note that many of these books got into this state due to low sales. So, if we get some of these republished, we'll need to support them! In fact, I'll go as far as to offer publishers a 76 pick slot for any paperback reissued in this fashion, if I have a number of bookseller blurbs on hand to back it up. Otherwise, they will sell poorly and go out of print again.

Please make a distinction between titles long out of print and the recently published titles that aren't going into paper. The latter are of particular interest to me. They hold the greatest chance for good sales, as well as the opportunity for those authors to get their first ever shot in paperback. A good thing to do, I think.

Please send me as much or as little as you want: It can be just a single title, author, approximate publication date, and subject category, or as much as your ravings about how great the book, or books, are! I'd like to post this list at BookWeb.org sometime this spring for publishers to peruse. I'll include your edited ravings unless you state otherwise!
