Here’s the IndieCommunication e-newsletter for Thursday, April 25:

New Badge for Pre-order Titles and Staff Picks
Pre-order flagBy popular demand, pre-order titles and staff picks can now be flagged on your website. Sites using this feature will display a small version of the badge on small cover images and a large version of the badge on large cover images. Stores also have the option of uploading a custom badge or using the default image. The pre-order flag will only appear on titles with a future on-sale date; the badge will not appear after the on-sale date. If you are interested in using the pre-order feature, you can find the setting on a book’s product page. There is a help doc with more info available here.

May 2 Webinar: Creating Recurring Events in IndieCommerce
Skywriting imageMany of our members run repeat events — story times, book clubs, etc. — that meet weekly or monthly and want a way to list these recurring events with ease. We now have two possible solutions. In this live demo, we will walk through the steps for both these solutions. We will also demo an alternative approach for collecting RSVPs for events on your website. Sign up for this webinar today.

Booksellers are encouraged to send their thoughts, questions, or suggestions via e-mail to IndieCommerce staff at any time.

Past editions of IndieCommunication are available on the IndieCommerce Updates page on BookWeb.org.
