The American Booksellers Association’s ninth annual Winter Institute (Wi9), to be held in Seattle on January 21 - 24, 2014, is made possible by the generous support of Ingram Content Group, the event’s lead sponsor, and the support of more than 55 publishers large and small.

Thanks to their sponsorship, 500 ABA member booksellers will be able to take part in a jam-packed program of more than 30 education sessions, outstanding plenary speakers, reps’ picks lunches, publisher focus groups, special events, and more. In addition, 50 booksellers will attend the Winter Institute on publisher-sponsored scholarships, covering the conference fee, up to four nights plus tax at the Westin Seattle at the special ABA rate, and transportation costs up to $400. (Scholarship winners will be announced in mid-November.)

“Thanks to ABA’s Winter Institute sponsors, booksellers once again have the opportunity to take part in a top-notch program offering all-new education sessions, great plenary speakers, and special events,” said ABA Development Officer Mark Nichols. “Favorites, including the Winter Institute Author Reception, the Small and Independent Press Reception, and the Galley Room, will return this year thanks to their support. We encourage all ABA members to join us in thanking these sponsors for making the Winter Institute possible.”
