Hotel accommodations are at capacity for the American Booksellers Association’s 15th annual Winter Institute (Wi15), which will take place January 21–24, 2020, at the Hilton Baltimore Inner Harbor in Baltimore, Maryland.
However, as ABA is currently securing additional room blocks at the Baltimore Marriott Inner Harbor at Camden Yards, located across the street from the Hilton, booksellers are encouraged to add themselves to the hotel waitlist. ABA will be in touch with all waitlisted booksellers by the end of October with accommodation options and group pricing details. ABA will reach out to sponsors directly regarding accommodations.
Registration for Winter Institute is full, but booksellers can visit BookWeb.org to be added to the waitlist or to register for the new $75 Day Pass option, which grants access to the institute on Friday, January 24, plus the Author Reception on Thursday, January 23, at 5:15 p.m. In addition to regular education sessions, special events taking place on Friday, January 24, include a bookselling bootcamp, an employee manual workshop, and Baltimore-area bookstore tours.
Refunds will be given for event cancellation requests received by 9:00 p.m. ET on November 22, 2019. Thereafter, there will be no refunds except if ABA cancels the event for any reason. All cancellation requests should be e-mailed to firstname.lastname@example.org.
