The design contest celebrating the 10-year anniversary of this year’s Winter Institute will continue to accept entries from ABA member booksellers until next Friday, August 29. The contest is a fun way to commemorate a decade of learning, networking, friendships, and special events at the American Booksellers Association’s premier education event. Designs can be edgy, funny, colorful, literary, energetic, or whatever a bookseller thinks best represents the Winter Institute.
The contest is open to all member booksellers regardless of whether they will be attending the Winter Institute. The winning design will be featured on T-shirts for volunteers and select guests. A limited number of T-shirts will also be sold at the event. Design files will be uploaded to Redbubble for those interested in creating their own merchandise.
The rules and guidelines for the contest can be found here.
Four finalists will be chosen by ABA, and one grand prize-winning design will be chosen by the membership. Voting will take place September 2 – 30, and the winner will be announced on or around October 1. The grand prize is $150.
Winter Institute 2015 will be held at the Grove Park Inn in Asheville, North Carolina, from February 8 – 11. Event registration will open in mid-September.
