In order to place a video on your website, the video must first be uploaded to a third party, such as YouTube*. You can then obtain an ‘embed’ code which can be placed on your website.
NOTE: Check to see if your CKEditor (WYSIWYG) has the ‘Media Embed’ option enabled. If you do not see the icon write to firstname.lastname@example.org and ask us to add the Media Embed option to your CKEditor (WYSIWYG) - this provides a separate field in which to paste your embed code and prevents you from losing it upon editing the page later.
Navigate to: Content > Add Content > Content type of choice
Your video should now be placed on the page for viewing.
*We recommend using YouTube as they provide Closed Captioning for Video which is a requirement for websites to be compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act. If you are using a different service, please let us know and we will look into whether or not it includes a Closed Captioning option and provide instructions if it does.
The American Booksellers Association, a national not-for-profit trade organization, works with booksellers and industry partners to ensure the success and profitability of independently owned book retailers, and to assist in expanding the community of the book.
Independent bookstores act as community anchors; they serve a unique role in promoting the open exchange of ideas, enriching the cultural life of communities, and creating economically vibrant neighborhoods.
